The planning plant

With the Planning Plant, different parts of the plant represent different stages of the planning, recording and evaluation process of any investigation. The children can be involved at all stages and are prompted or reminded to consider different aspects of the scientific methodology as well as subject specific terms.

This activity provides a scaffold for children to undertake the planning stage of fair and comparative tests. Pupils will learn the steps needed to undertake a fair and/or comparative test using scientific vocabulary.
