Dissecting a flower

This set of teaching notes provides three different methods for dissecting a flower with the use of classroom equipment or equipment that is easily sourced. Alstroemeria and Primula are flowers that are commonly found in supermarkets or garden centres. Alstroemeria come in a range of colours and a particularly large enough to clearly show their parts. The finished product would make for a vibrant and decorative display in the classroom or school hall and would bound to impress at a parents’ evening or open day.
