Growing a sugar snap pea

This activity from Primary Booklet 1: Parts of a Plant and their Functions, provides the opportunity for children to plant seeds and observe how they grow into mature plants.
The pupils plant sugar snap peas, and observe how they grow and develop fruit (pea pods) which contain more seeds.
This activity can be used to support children to learn about how seeds develop into mature plants and the life cycle of flowering plants.
